The Embassy of the State of Kuwait organized a reception on Wednesday 23 Feb. 2011, on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the National Day of the State of Kuwait, and the 20th Anniversary of the Liberation Day, and the 5th Anniversary of the reign of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The special celebration of this year was due to the three above mentioned occasions, and it was  organized in the Grand Hotel, Mirror Hall, one of the most wonderful and special halls of the hotel, in the center of Capital of Sweden, Stockholm.

The list of our guests on this occasion included many distinguished and prominent personalities such as the Speaker of the Riksdag (Swedish parliament), His Excellency Mr. Per Westerberg, and other prominent guests from the Parliament, the Swedish Royal Palace, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, specially the MENA Section, and the Municipality of Stockholm, and Excellencies Ambassadors of the friendly and the Arab sisterly countries, among them His Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Her Excellency the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates.

The celebration of this year was also distinguished with the big number of its guests that surpassed the former years, more than 380 guests, including prominent guests from the Swedish political, economic, social, and academic sectors and the representatives of the Arab and the Muslim community in Stockholm, who expressed their good wishes and sincere congratulations to the State of Kuwait and its people.
